Hector Gamboa is Registered Quality Assurance Professional in Good Laboratory Practices (RQAP-GLP). He was the 2016 President of the Pacific Regional Chapter of the SQA (PRCSQA) and he currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors at the Society of Quality Assurance (SQA). Hector is currently a Sr. Quality Audit Specialist at Abbot (formerly St. Jude Medical) serving as the Quality Assurance Unit for its non-clinical testing facility. With over twenty years of combined academia and industry experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and other life science fields, he has extensive experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Auditing, and Quality Control under different regulations like the GLPs and cGMPs, as well as ISO standards and ICH guidelines.

Hector has also provided GLP training and consulted for CROs in the area of GLP. He is a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology holding a Diploma of Technology in Biological Sciences (Biotechnology option) and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Environmental Engineering Technology. He also holds certification in Project Management from the Sauder School of Business of the University of British Columbia. In addition, Hector is a Committee Member of the SQA Mentoring Program Committee and is a member of the SQA Medical Device Specialty Section and the GLP Specialty Section.
